Domestic. With the help of new DNA technology and skulls, a model creator has recreated the heads of people who lived in Sweden 7,700 years ago. It turns out that they looked much like Swedes do today.

It is the model maker Oscar Nilsson who has made the reconstructions with the help of 3D technology, reports SVT Nyheter Öst.
– Based on DNA that could be extracted from the skulls, I could see hair color, skin color, eye color and how old they were when they died, he says.
Both the woman and the man lived 7,700 years ago. The woman had light blonde hair and blue eyes. The man was more dark-haired. They possibly had a slightly darker complexion than today's Swedes.
The skull finds were made in 2009 in a now overgrown lake at today's central station in Motala. These are human skulls that were put on piles and then placed out in the lake. The woman is believed to have been 20 years old when she died and the man about 50 years old.
The models can be seen at Charlottenborg Castle in Motala, which will soon open for the summer season.
