Winners Apple Design Awards 2021

It's one of the traditions of WWDC: the Apple Design Awards. While only six apps received the award last year, this year Apple selected a whopping 12 winners in six different categories. The apps are not only judged on their looks, but also on their positive impact on the environment or people with disabilities. Whether the developer takes advantage of the technological capabilities of Apple devices also plays a role in the assessment. The nice thing is that both small and large developers can get this award. This year's winners include Carrot Weather, Pok Pok Playroom and Be My Eyes.

The Apple Design Awards are designed to celebrate developers with creative and positive ideas. Apple has presented the award for more than two decades and has identified more than 250 winners to date. The award encourages developers to come up with better apps and for the makers of the app it gives a nice boost in brand awareness. Last year's Apple Design Awards 2020 won, among others, the photo app Darkroom and the game Sky: Children of the Light.
