Core inflation rose in May by 0.7 per cent or by 3.8 per cent on an annual basis. It is the highest core inflation since 1992.
However, the US Federal Reserve says in a statement that the development will slow down by the end of 2121, and that prices are currently rising sharply because they were depressed at the beginning of pandemic a year ago.
