As the publisher Bandai Namco and the developer studio From Software have announced via the official action RPG account, the much discussed and often already dead Elden Ring will be released on January 21, 2022 for the PC , Xbox and PlayStation. The story comes from the fantasy author George RR Martin.

The Elden Ring project had already started in 2017 after the release of” The Ringed City “as an extension for Dark Souls 3 (test).
After around 4 years, a release for the PC, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S (test) as well as the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (test) is now expected on January 21, 2022.
As part of an official announcement via the short message service Twitter, the developers also shared a first two-minute trailer that combines the first snippets of the epic story and short sequences of the game.

After the makers presented the dark open world at E3 2019 and met with a mixture of “Dark Souls” that was very interesting for many on Game of Thrones “and an open game world, there were inconsistencies with the status of the action role-playing game for which Hidetaka Miyazaki was responsible.
After Elden Ring had calmed down a bit in the meantime and the target “Release 2020” could not be met due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, a huge fuss about secret gameplay trailers arose.
According to an anonymous source, it was most recently said that a release this year is unlikely, but expected in 2022. The announcement and the date surprised many industry observers. The developer From Software himself confirmed the release date only a little later.
