Developer Guidelines Update

Apple announced it in a developer update. They write that the App Store should be a safe place. Hence, you can now report apps if you find them to be unreliable, unsafe, or contrary to the App Store Review Guidelines. Dishonest marketing and deception can also be a reason to be removed from the App Store.

Request money back within an app

In addition, from iOS 15 it is possible to immediately app to request money back from in-app purchases. You no longer have to go to the Apple website to report a problem there. To this end, Apple has introduced a new StoreKit API that allows developers to build it into their apps. Whether this will happen much remains to be seen.

As a user, you can tap this option, select the purchase and request a refund. You will then receive an email from Apple about the status. This must be done within 48 hours.

Unfair treatment
Apple has made even more changes. For example, developers whose app (update) has been rejected can now indicate that there is unfair treatment, for example in the field of politics or prejudice. This is undoubtedly in response to complaints that have been made earlier that there is unfair competition.

Apple also no longer wants 'hookup' apps in the App Store that contain or are intended to contain pornography for prostitution. Apparently, such apps were allowed until now. Apps that actually have no useful functions will also not be allowed. And there are already so many drinking games that Apple has labeled them a saturated category.

Apple has also tightened the Developer Code of Conduct with new rules, stating that information about a developer's identity must be accurate and current. Manipulating reviews and rankings is not allowed and if there are a lot of complaints about a developer, this can also lead to measures. The inclusion of irrelevant information in app metadata has also been tightened up.
