– With the proposal, the government wants to improve the police's opportunities to conduct house searches for preventive purposes. The police must be given greater powers to search for weapons and explosives in order to restrict the criminals' access to dangerous objects and to reduce the risk of serious violent crimes, says Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg (S).
