When discussing electric cars , one of the questions that is often asked & egrave; how many real km a & # 39; car & egrave; able to travel under normal conditions. To answer this question, the Norwegian Automotive Federation (NAF) & egrave; usually conduct a series of tests with the main models to verify their real autonomy and compare it with that declared in the WLTP cycle.

The last test saw protagonists as many as 21 electric cars which have been tested with very specific criteria so that the results were comparable. The proof is & egrave; carried out on the same day and with the same environmental conditions (between 20 and 25 degrees). The range test is performed by normal drivers in normal traffic conditions and the route is; consisting of roads in the city, in companion and in the mountains and motorways, at speed; between 60 km/h and 110 km/h.

All cars are recharged the night before and started without any preheating of the battery and interior. Drivers are asked to drive normally without using strategies to improve fuel economy. All cars also adopt the same air conditioning settings. During the test the cars continue to run until the accumulator & egrave; completely unloaded . Very specific rules even if it is not a scientific test but rather a test to evaluate the true autonomy of an electric car in common use conditions.
