AGREEMENT DETAILS

Toyota will use Mobileye's System-on-a-chip (SoC) EyeQ4 , one of the most advanced computer vision processors; advanced to the world. Mobileye's EyeQ chip family can run very complex algorithms, while maintaining low power consumption. The EyeQ4 SoC will be combined with ZF's Gen21 medium range radar technology , designed to meet the 5 Star safety ratings of Euro NCAP 2022. It also enables L2/L2 + level assisted driving functions.

The ZF radar & egrave; as well scalable to the needs of the vehicle manufacturer and offers both a wide field of view at low speeds, to assist in pedestrian detection by supporting systems such as automatic emergency braking (AEB), and a longer detection range; long at high speeds for systems such as adaptive cruise control. ZF will be also responsible for integrating cameras and radars into Toyota vehicles.

By combining these technologies, the aim is to develop a solution that can prevent and limit collisions, offering the best lateral and longitudinal control of the vehicle in parallel. This announcement represents the latest example of an automaker partnering with technology companies to develop advanced safety systems. Amnon Shashua , senior vice president of Intel and president and CEO of Mobileye, commented:

Mobileye & egrave; pleased to partner with ZF to develop advanced safety and driver assistance technology for Toyota, the most advanced; largest carmaker in the world.

Christophe Marnat , ZF executive vice president, Electronics and ADAS division, added:

ZF looks forward to working closely with Toyota and Mobileye to develop advanced safety systems designed to meet global safety regulations. Our innovative technologies will deliver exceptional performance and robustness for data fusion-based systems and ADAS functions.
