Last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo already announced that the Apple Watch will be redesigned in 2021. At the time, it was somewhat unclear what kind of design it would be. Now rumors delicious Jon Prosser provides more clarity. According to him, it is a design with flat sides, similar to recent other redesigns on the iPhone and iPad. Prosser discusses the rumor in the Genius Bar podcast, along with colleague Sam Kohl. The two claim to have already seen the design and say they are impressed. With this design of the Apple Watch Series 7 you have to think of a flatter design, but the change is more subtle than with, for example, the iPhone 12 and the most recent iPads. They even compare the design to the new M1 iMac.
They also speak of a new color, namely green. The color would correspond to the green color of the current AirPods Max. Apple has been using more and more color for its products lately. For example, the iMac appears in no fewer than seven different colors. It is not yet clear whether the Apple Watch Series 7 will also be available in many other colors in addition to green. Currently you can choose from space gray, silver, gold, red and blue with aluminum.
