New Apple Museum in Kiev will open soon with 323 unique items

New Apple Museum in Kiev

After the Apple Museum in Westerbork (formerly Orvelte) and the beautifully decorated Apple Museum in Prague, there is now a third place where you can see the history of Apple . A brand new museum will soon open in Kiev at the headquarters of software developer MacPaw. Everyone is welcome to come and have a look. The museum will be open to the public shortly and features 323 products, the masterpiece of which is a Macintosh 128k signed by Steve Wozniak.

You may know MacPaw mainly as the maker of CleanMyMac and SetApp, the software bundle for which you pay a fixed price. But the company's founder, Oleksandr Kosovan, is also an avid Apple fan.

Former Tekserve collection

The collection of the new Apple Museum comes from the collection of Tekserve from New York. This collection went under the hammer in 2016 and came into the hands of MacPaw in 2017. The company promised to make it a museum, but initially the pieces could only be seen behind closed doors. Later, MacPaw also acquired a unique collection of Apple products from a private collector in Poland, making the museum even better stocked.

The whole is beautifully displayed, so that the products come into their own. The museum will be located in MacPaw Space, a beautifully designed space where meetups, workshops and lectures will also take place. The tickets will be available online, so you know in advance that you can go there. All payments in MacPaw Space are contactless.

This space is currently under development and will be a place for creative people to exchange ideas and meet people from the community. You will of course have to fly to Kiev for it, something which hopefully will be possible again when the museum opens its doors for the first time. An exact date has not yet been announced.

CEO Oleksandr Kosovan explains in an explanation that when purchasing the first Mac collection it was not possible to show it to the public. In the meantime, more and more requests were received for viewings. That is why we are now working on a museum, where the important pieces can be seen behind plexiglass so that there is no chance of damage or theft.

These are some highlights:

Apple does not have its own museum, but there will no doubt be some unique Apple products kept in Cupertino as well. In Silicon Valley you can visit the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, where you can also see many Apple products from yesteryear.

Would you consider a visit to Kiev to visit this museum in the future? attend? We'd love to hear about it in the comments!
