Domestic. Amineh Kakabaveh was expelled from the Left Party after outspoken outbursts. But she remains in the Riksdag – and can now on her own put an end to the government's plan to sharply increase immigration, Expressen reports.

The government parties' controversial bill for a new immigration policy has, as it now stands, the support of 174 members of parliament.
The alternative proposal from M, KD, SD and L also has 174 votes in the back, according to Expressen.
This means that only one vote can determine the outcome of Sweden's future policy on the immigration issue. And that vote is cast in that case by Amineh Kakabaveh, who in August 2019 was expelled from the Left Party.
Before the exclusion, Kakabaveh had told that she had been frozen out and bullied as an adult by her party colleagues in the Riksdag because she had been critical of honor killings in certain immigrant groups.
– They look away when they see me, she told Expressen.
However, she was so popular that she was elected to the Riksdag in 2018 with the help of a personal cross, even though she had been poked from the Left Party's parliamentary list.
Amineh Kakabaveh herself states that she does not like any of the two immigration proposals, but that “no partisan” has any power over her decision and that she follows her own conscience.
She sees a problem with “economic refugees” and does not want to go back to the generous immigration policy that prevailed before the asylum chaos in 2015. However, she is critical of the fact that residence permits should generally be temporary rather than permanent for “those who really have asylum reasons”. p>
V's migration policy spokesperson Christina Höj Larsen warns Kakabaveh to vote wrong on the issue.
– If Amineh Kakabaveh wants to let the lottery decide whether the “blue-brown” gang should be allowed to deteriorate for refugees, then is it up to her, says Höj Larsen to Expressen.
If Kakabaveh casts his vote and there is a deadlock between the two sides, the matter is decided by lottery.
The corona rules in the Riksdag can, however, lead to the government winning in any case. As it stands now, only 55 members are allowed to be present and vote at the same time. Amineh Kakabaveh's vote can in practice be acknowledged against a left-wing party artist, but Kakabaveh has reserved the right to vote if she wants, writes Expressen.
