The woman has been sentenced by an Iraqi court to 15 years in prison for terrorist crimes.
She went with her husband down to Syria from western Sweden to fight for the Islamic State. The man was charged as early as 2012 with having prepared a terrorist attack on the artist Lars Vilks.
Now, however, the woman considers herself innocently convicted. She calls herself a victim and wants to serve her prison sentence in Sweden.
When she has since been released, she hopes to start studying.
“I want to continue my education in pedagogy, as well as in substances that have to do with human rights “, the woman writes in the application, according to GP.
She has, however, been refused to serve the sentence in Sweden by Iraq, which has no extradition agreement with Sweden
