The reason for the new investigation is a revelation in Dagens Nyheter with new information about the reporter and the suspected Islamist's relationship. The revelation shows that he – who according to Säpo poses a threat to national security – was fined for parking outside the reporter's home during the time she reported on him. This was in March last year, six months before she left the editorial office. – It gives a different picture of the situation than what I got in September last year when I made a decision and acted from the outside. Therefore, I have decided that we need to make a comeback, I need, with the help of the company's various specialists, HR and so on, to go through this matter again, says Klas Wolf-Watz, head of Ekot, to Swedish Radio.
