Abroad. Several established media outlets such as the AP and al-Jazira were forced to evacuate their staff from a high-rise building in Gaza after owners were warned that the building would be attacked by Israeli warplanes. Shortly afterwards, the building was leveled, reports AP.

– It is now about a total of three buildings with editorial activities, it is an incredible violation of press freedom and affects journalists who must report on this, says Erik Halkjaer, chairman of Reporters without Borders Sweden, to SVT.
He refers to the fact that Israel on 12 and 13 May bombed two buildings in two separate attacks where a total of about 20 newsrooms had their operations.
Israel has stated that the buildings used by the warring parties in Gaza. But there is also dissatisfaction in Israel with how the international media reports on the conflict.
