Economics. The government should as soon as possible submit a proposal to the Riksdag to extend the Criminal Offenses Act so that it also includes state support for companies. The Social Insurance Committee suggests it.

In order to maintain “confidence” in grants in Sweden and to protect public finances, society must be able to prosecute both private individuals and companies that cheat and commit crimes against the systems, the committee believes.
The proposal for an announcement is based on a committee initiative. This means that a committee on its own initiative submits a proposal for a Riksdag decision. The proposal thus does not come from a bill from the government or a motion from members of parliament, which is otherwise the norm.
