Abroad. Two planes collided in the air above Denver on Wednesday. But even though one of the planes was almost hijacked in the middle, no one was injured, and the damaged planes managed to land without any problems, reports AP.

The plane was two smaller passenger planes of the type Fairchild Metroliner and a Cirrus SR22 and the collision occurred when both went in for landing, according to the investigating authority NTSB.
“All the pilots involved should buy one scratch card now straight away, “said local sheriff John Bartmann.
Key Lime Air, which owns the nearly hijacked Metroliner plane, said the spacecraft survived significant damage but that the pilot managed to take control of it and land safely.
On TV pictures from CBS, the damaged plane could be seen almost gone in two parts.
