Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, warns in its app that Qanon is calling for violence.

Facebook tells SvD that last year they expanded their policies on “dangerous organizations”.

“Since then, we have deleted thousands of Facebook pages, profiles and Instagram accounts, because they represent Qanon”, writes Camilla Nordsted, head of corporate communications in the Nordics at Facebook, via email to SvD.

SvD is now also trying to get Telegram to start censoring.

“Extreme material is published regularly, in Swedish as well as foreign groups”, writes the newspaper, which is forced to state that “no one at Telegram has given feedback on our questions “.

However, Telegram is ultimately also in the IT giants' lap as the app can be deleted from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store at any time, and in that case would be very complicated to install on most phones .
