The CNPS10X Optima II RGB, which Zalman repeatedly issued at the end of last year, is followed by two single-tower coolers, the CNPS10X Performa ST and the CNPS10X Performa Black, which appear to be in the budget segment for buyers search. Both have an (over) large fan with a frame width of 135 mm in common.
Resurrection of further Zalman air coolers
In the well-known CNPS10X processor cooler from 2009, Zalman combines a cooling tower offset from the base with a comparatively large fan in the 2021 revision as CNPS10X Performa ST or CNPS10X Performa Black. Untypical for air coolers in this category nowadays, the dimensions of the fan exceed those of the cooling tower; the two new air coolers inherit the concept from the original CNPS10X in the versions CNPS10X Extreme (test) and CNPS10X Quiet (test), which ComputerBase tested over ten years ago.

According to the data sheet, a model in black that is suitable for silent use and that has a starting speed of 700 rpm. is specified, takes care of air transport. There is no lighting.

Zalman CNPS10X Performa ST The CNPS10X Performa Black is also preferably in the lower price range, but following the name it has a black finish, which in addition to the cooling tower with aluminum fins and the four 8 mm thick copper heat pipes also includes the top of the base, so that all externally visible surfaces of the cooler in harmony with the 135 mm fan look uniform.
The mounting set also allows Intel HEDT platforms
The CNPS10X Performa ST and CNPS10X Performa Black can be mounted on all current mainstream platforms from AMD and Intel, with the latter also offering extended support for HEDT sockets.
So far, Zalman has not given a recommended retail price for the CNPS10X Performa ST or the CNPS10X Performa Black. The manufacturer has not yet revealed when the first copies will also be available in this country.
