The electric is an integral part of Aston Martin's recovery plan for the next few years. Speaking of this strategy, the new CEO of the British brand, Tobias Moers , stressed that their first electric sports car should be launched in 2025. This is the same year in which it will debut. also the first 100% electric Ferrari. As with the Prancing Horse model, very little is known about this battery-powered car.
The CEO only said that they will aim to use a skateboard-like platform on which different types of cars can be built. In fact, shortly after will be & agrave; a battery version of the DBX SUV was also brought to its debut. Given the close collaboration with Mercedes & egrave; likely that the powertrains used derive strictly from those of the German brand. However, there is indeed a long time to go before Aston Martin's first electric sports car arrives and so there will surely be plenty of opportunities to find out more.
In the past, the British manufacturer had come very close to launching a battery-powered model called Rapide E on the market but then the project was stopped. It is unlikely that the future electric sports car could derive from this vehicle.
