Erik Mårtensson/TT The last time was three years ago when they turned a 1-3 defeat in matches against Karlskrona into a 4-3 victory, only to leave next season after a loss with the same numbers in the direct qualifier against Oskarshamn. This time, Timrås hopes sports director that the stay in the SHL will be long. – Of course, the goal now is primarily that we will survive. But then we will try to build a team that can establish itself in the SHL. The journey we have ahead of us is tough but at the same time inspiring, says Norberg. It will be a hurry. He does not have much time before the team building is to be completed. The protracted final game against Björklöven means that other teams have come much further in the hunt for players. – Of course it is late to get up now, in normal cases it would have been ready over a month ago. But now the situation is as it is. We have to work according to the conditions we have, he says. Of today's squad, there are six players who also have contracts over the next season. Some more players are already ready, but Kent Norberg does not want to reveal which. The team's big star Jonathan Dahlén is of course high on the wish list. – He has no contract, but hopefully we can keep him. For his colleague in Björklöven, Per Kenttä, it will be harder. Two years in a row, Kenttä and Björklöven have fallen on the finish line in the hunt for an SHL place. Last season, the season was stopped by the pandemic in the middle of the qualifiers, this year Timrå stopped the Umeå team.
