Dell uses the announcement of Tiger Lake-H45 to reissue the Alienware m15 as R6 and to refresh a gaming notebook under its own brand with the G15. Graphics cards up to GeForce RTX 3080 work in the m15 R6 and there are generally a lot of configuration options. Some information is still missing about the Dell G15.
Under the Alienware brand, Dell has always offered gaming notebooks with a certain amount of extravagance that are not exactly looking for their target group with a subtle look. The new m15 R6 also borrows from imaginary alien spaceships and looks very “spacey” overall. Unsurprisingly, the only available color is called “Dark Side of the Moon”. The back of the base and the logo are adorned with lighting, and the keyboard also shines in RGB colors. The m15 R6 measures 356.2 × 272.5 × 12.5 (front) to 19.25 mm (rear) and the top with feet is 22.85 mm. The starting weight is 2.42 kg, depending on the equipment it can be up to 2.69 kg.
Tiger Lake-H45 hits Ampere
In terms of equipment, Alienware offers a variety of configuration options, starting with the new Tiger Lake H45. The Core i5-11400H, Core i7-11800H and the Core i9-11900H are offered. Alienware provides 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB DDR4-3200 for the processors. With the SSDs you can choose between one or two drives, whereby RAID is not used. 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB are available individually, 512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB are also available with two drives, each with half the capacity per SSD.

Market launch in Summer from $ 1,300
Dell plans to launch the Alienware m15 R6 this summer from $ 1,299.99 pre-tax in the United States. Further information on the exact market launch and prices in Germany as well will only follow as the sales release is approaching.
The Alienware x17 is also planned as a thin 17-inch gaming notebook for the summer. This model also relies on Intel Tiger Lake-H45 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000. So far, Dell has not published more than a short teaser.
Dell G15 receives new processors and cooling
This information is also still missing for the Dell G15, although this notebook is expected to go on sale in the USA from 949.99 US dollars before taxes in the summer and thus plays in a different league than the Alienware m15 R6. Primarily, it is a slight refresh, which, compared to the previously offered variant, mainly brings Tiger Lake-H45 into the notebook. RTX 3000 graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 3060 were also offered by Dell before. The manufacturer wants to have improved the cooling of all components by using Alienware.
