  • 20 generals warn Macron of French & quot; race war & quot;

There was a great uproar when 20 retired French generals and thousands of soldiers in April published an open letter to President Emmanuel Macron. of Muslim immigrants and left-wing ideologies.

The French government responded by threatening to punish the soldiers in active duty who signed the call.

But now another open letter has been published in the conservative magazine Valeurs Actuelles – and so far about a quarter of a million people have signed it.

The letter writers, who this time are anonymous, describe themselves as young soldiers in active service.

“We constitute what the newspapers have called the 'fire generation'. Men and women, active soldiers, from all armies and all ranks, “Of all opinions, we all love our country. These are our only claims to fame. And even if by law we cannot express ourselves without hiding our faces, it is equally impossible for us to remain silent,” the letter reads./p>

The letter writers accuse President Macron of making “concessions” to Islamism on French soil, while the country's soldiers shed their blood to fight against the same ideology in countries such as Afghanistan, Mali and the Central African Republic.

In the previous letter, the French authorities were warned of an impending “civil war” threatening France's existence.

According to RT, the letter writers suggest that at least some of them have participated in the domestic military operation Sentinelle, which was launched after the terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015, and witnessed how certain ethnic-religious groups in France are completely separate from the rest of the country. For such groups, “France means nothing more than being an object of sarcasm, contempt or even hatred”.

“Once again, it is turning into a civil war in France, and you know that very well” , the letter writers write to Macron. “We are talking about the survival of our country, the survival of your country.”

The signatories also express their strong support for the people behind the first letter with the retired generals. They are also strongly critical of the government's response to the letter. one must be quite perverse. “

” Cowardice, falsehood, perversion: this is not our vision of the hierarchy. On the contrary, the army, par excellence, is the place where we speak truth because we entrust it to our lives ” the letter writers continue.
