THE IMPORTANCE OF CHINA

For Volkswagen, the Chinese market is; very important and the German manufacturer aims to become one of the protagonists in the electric car sector and its expansion plans in this sense are very ambitious. For the moment, it can; count on the ID.4 (Here our test) and on the 7-seater SUV ID.6 that is; recently presented.

All that remains is to wait to understand what the carmaker's next moves will be for the Chinese market. It should be remembered that the electric models on the MEB platform are currently produced through two joint ventures. In addition to that already; cited with SAIC, also the one with FAW. If, therefore, the relationships are correct, also the ID.3 will become & agrave; an important part of this expansion project of the German brand. The compact could become like this; the & quot; entry level & quot; model of the manufacturer on that market. It seems that the ID.3 will be & agrave; sold with all the battery options available in Europe today.

Speaking of the expansion project on the Chinese market, it is not possible; not to mention that the Volkswagen Group has announced the start of construction of the new Volkswagen Anhui plant within which electric models based on the MEB platform will also be built. This is the Group's third plant in China for the production of battery-powered cars and will go alongside those of Anting (joint venture with SAIC) and Foshan (joint venture with FAW). Thanks also to the entry into production of this plant scheduled for 2023, the Group aims to achieve its goal of delivering up to 1.5 million electric vehicles per year in China by 2025.
