Reduced penalties after drive-by shooting at a villa in Tyresö

On the morning of 25 September 2020, the two perpetrators, who are both 20 years old, fired at least four pistol shots at an apartment in Tyresö.

They then proceeded on another moped. a villa where they fired additional shots, this time with automatic weapons. The 14 shots were fired straight into the villa.

In the house that was shot at were two people who according to the police were completely innocent. One of them, a teenager, was sitting and conducting a high school exam when the shooting began. None of them were physically injured, however.

The crime was committed by people connected to a criminal network and the background was a jealousy drama.

The duo were charged with attempted murder, but were convicted in Nacka District Court for a felony. and grossly illegal threats. The sentence was five years' imprisonment.

The verdict was appealed to the Court of Appeal, and the prosecutor has continued to want the men convicted of attempted murder. But according to the Court of Appeal, it has not been proven that the duo had any intent to kill, writes Dagens Nyheter.

Instead, the Court of Appeal chooses to reduce the men's sentences, from five years to three years and four months in prison.
