Reports from all over the world, Interviews, writers, portraits, book recommendations, and 100 English-speaking novels in short videos. The new English YouTube channel “DW Books” starts with a sumptuous offer.
YouTube and books – is this not a contradiction? On the contrary, for some years, the channels have to shoot, especially young Booktuber through the ceiling. YouTube itself reports that all of the offerings reach around the book, in the meantime, 200 million views, with a significantly growing tendency. “DW Books”, the new English YouTube channel, but will still offer more than the quick Overview of new releases or favorite reading.
From the 2. September will be set twice per week with new video formats. In “Meet the Writer” hits the DW to the Start of the channel the US-American writer star Richard Ford. It Interviews, among other things, with the Kana follow the letter of the law-Vietnamese best-selling author Kim Thúy, the Alexander-von-Humboldt-biographer Andrea Wulf or the internationally successful German Fantasy author Cornelia Funke.

In a further Format, “Read the World”, visit our Reporter writers where they live – from Georgia to Indonesia. Every two weeks there are book recommendations in the series “Three Books”: DW-presenters will present three books on a topic. At the Start of the American David Levitz releases, presents on the topic of climate change.
Also, the “100 German Must-Reads” will be presented on the YouTube channel “DW Books”
Regularly on Mondays will be set to “DW Books” Videos of the successful Format “100 German Must-Reads” to the network. Therein DW-Moderator Levitz presents 100 English-speaking novels of the last 100 years, which have been translated into English. A project by the DW, come on now, at book fairs and book festivals you want to read it.
