Ferrari dominated Qualifying in Bahrain

The Monegasque Charles Leclerc gets the first Pole Position of his career. The four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel has to let his young Ferrari teammate go first.

Sebastian Vettel knocked Charles Leclerc a Pat on the shoulder. In just his second Grand Prix for Ferrari, the 21-year-old successor of Kimi is Raikkonen on Pole Position in Bahrain and drove off even his German stable rivals. “In the end, Charles has done a very good Job, and he deserves to stand at the front,” said Vettel, and congratulated the Monegasques, who had on his last lap in qualifying, just 0.3 seconds ahead of four-time world champion.

With 21 years and 165 days, the Leclerc is the second youngest Pole man in formula 1 history, right after team-mate Vettel, was in September 2008 in Monza, 21 years and 72 days old. “I’m extremely happy,” said Leclerc. “I feel a lot of emotions. But I will try to stay as cool as possible.”
