Ryoyu Kobayashi wins in Innsbruck

Another Time, the “tour with destiny,” a German ski jumper at Innsbruck. The third of the four-hills-tournament Jump Markus eisenbichler is far behind that of the Top jumpers.

A small shake at the landing of the second jump, a brief moment of shock, then, that Ryoyu Kobayashi Jumping the third had won four hills tournament. The Japanese won with jumps on 137 and 131 meters for a second Time against the competition, and provides for a preliminary decision in the battle for the tour victory. On the other podium places, the Austrian Stefan Kraft and Andreas Stjernen from Norway landed, a Good Fourth of the German Stephan was Leyhe.

Less well the Competition went to the Bergisel Schanze in Innsbruck for Markus Eisenbichler who had located after two second places in the Partenkirchen Jump in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-in the overall standings, just 1.3 points behind Kobayashi. But as in the qualification on Thursday eisenbichler didn’t get in Innsbruck and lost ground. With spans of 129 and 123.5 meters, it took only 13th place in the daily standings.

In the overall standings Eisenbichler defended with 770,4 points, while second place behind Kobayashi (815,9), he has before the final is 45.5 points behind Jump in Bischofshofen on Sunday. Third in the tour standings, is Stjernen (766,2).

Iron Bichler: “Kobayashi is simply brutal!”

“I know that was in there,” said Eisenbichler after the Competition in the ARD. “But I’m not unhappy. I have previously disputed two sensational competitions and am in the standings with a good. But Kobayashi is just brutal!”

How “brutal” shows the season the balance-sheet of the 22-year-old Celestial from Japan: Be a success in Innsbruck, the seventh in the tenth world Cup was the Jump of the winter.
