A week after the controversial concert cancellation by the Bauhaus Dessau, the punk band has presented a new Location: Dessau brewery site. The profit from the appearance of the Alliance “Dessau, Nazi-free”.
On Thursday of last week (18.10.2018) had the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau for the 6. Scheduled for November, concert in the Bauhaus building is cancelled. Ahead of the call of right-wing groups to protest during the performance. The decision was nationwide met with heavy criticism. The punk band from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has now proclaimed to have in Dessau, a new Location found. The concert will, as planned, on 6. November take place on the brewery site in the city.
Claudia Perren, Director of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, had defended the cancellation in an interview with Deutsche Welle. You have a right to want a radical offer no platform, but the decision of the Foundation had fallen “this time on the feet”. A result of the cancellation, you have allows you to the Nazis now in a wider range of attention. Perren suggested to discuss a new Alliance against the Right in order to avoid such a Situation in the future.
