The objective of the project: decision-makers in relevant government departments on strategies, the transport sector in China, climate justice to develop.
Project implementation: In the framework of the project is the Chinese government directly for advice; among other things, by an international Advisory Board.
Project partners: Ministry of Transport (MoT) of China, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) – China, the German society for International cooperation (GIZ)
Project budget: funded with 3.500.000 euros by the German Federal Ministry for the environment, nature conservation and nuclear safety in the framework of the International climate initiative (IKI)
Term of project: 03/2015 until 01/2019
Until the 90s the Bicycle was the main means of transport in Beijing. However, growing prosperity, and a transport policy that relies on cars, have displaced the Bicycle is almost out of the city – until 2016, when the first “free-floating”bikes appeared. Since then, the Cycling is making a Comeback.
