In Sierra Leone, the government has deprived of the President and the Secretary General of national football Association of their Offices. Now the International football Association, FIFA is responding to the intervention.

The FIFA Council suspended the football Association of Sierra Leone (SLFA) with immediate effect. For the duration of the suspension, neither the national teams nor the Clubs in the West African country may participate in international competitions, told the world Association. As justification, the FIFA referred to the Association on the influence of the government on the national football.
The world Association urged in a Letter to the sports Minister of Sierra Leone Ibrahim Nyelenkeh, SLFA President, Isha Johansen and General Secretary, Christopher Kamara rooms the access to the business of the SLFA to allow. The suspension of Sierra Leone to remain in force for so long, to the administration, the business premises, the accounts, as well as the communication channels are under control of the recognized leadership, said FIFA.
