Kaeser’s with the entire Siemens managing Board to a Board meeting in the U.S. capital. The US is the largest single market of the Munich-based technology group. Siemens was in the country last year, almost 24 billion dollars. In this way, Siemens had more than a quarter of its global sales in the United States. 50,000 people were employed by the group.

In the face of fierce criticism from the US government to the high export Germany’s surpluses advises Kaeser to prudence. “Of course it is worrying, when we speak of surpluses of Export and in connection with unfair business practices,” said Kaeser. “This is a somewhat idiosyncratic interpretation of competitiveness.” Germany have a lot of very innovative and reliable products.

“From the campaign for real responsibility”

The Trump-government would have to make it now, the Transition “of the campaign for real responsibility,” said Kaeser. “You have to talk about things and search for solutions, and not in 140 characters, try to compress the facts,” he said. Donald Trump also communicates with a preference for the short message service Twitter, at the maximum of 140 characters per message.

Siemens had agreed in talks with the U.S. government, and education to help according to the German model, for example in the qualification of welders. The German model of dual vocational education and training trust of great interest in the United States.
