When Camping in the nature and let your soul – never before this holiday was asked in Germany as it is today. Especially with the beginning of the warm Season, it attracts people for a couple of days on one of the approximately 3,000 campgrounds in Germany, and the trend is rising. But also of cool rainy weather, campers today can hardly deterred, finally, a comfortable living have more and more mobile or reside in luxury caravans and are well prepared for all weather conditions. This is also why the industry remains on after several record years in a row for 2017 is optimistic, as the President of the Federal Association of the camping economy in Germany, Gunter Riechey, says.

The affluent customers with Caravans and motorhomes now makes up about 80 percent of the tourist guests, even though this holiday cost, including acquisition and space rent is not known as a cheap. 30.4 million Nights and 9 million guest arrivals from the Federation in the past year – approximately four percent more than 2015 registered.

The most popular destination of campers Bavaria remained with 5.2 million overnight Stays on camping sites, closely followed by Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with nearly 5 million overnight Stays, and lower Saxony, with 4.4 million Nights. The Boom primarily by domestic guests, the bays again in the past year, more Nights on the German courts.

Also Erwin Oberascher, managing Director of the Internet portal camping.info looks for the current season will also be a sustained upward trend. The accesses to the Portal have increased in the first four months of the year-on-year by 15 percent. Increasingly, campsites are fully booked in the off-season. Here, too, the Boom in travel mobile is likely to play a role. “In some regions, Pentecost is regarded as the main season, would have dared to dream about ten years ago, no one,” says Oberascher.

But also the camping experience with the growing range of high quality equipment for a Renaissance. For young families this is a chance for little money to Camping, says Riechey. Especially since the German campsites Europe Riechey says far still the best count. Already, many operators have invested heavily in their seats. Wi-Fi, and Lounge areas include a lot of basic equipment, such as modern, sanitary houses.

Pent-up demand, there are still alternative accommodation forms such as mobile homes or log cabins. Here are places in the Netherlands and in southern Europe still have the nose, clear the front, says Riechey. “For us, there are building restrictions.” The Association has therefore drawn up a model regulation for Camping and weekend courses and want to bring in the political processes.
