US-Cert warns of end of support Windows Server 2003

US-Cert offers companies and organisations warned that Microsoft from 14 July next year, will stop supporting Windows Server 2003. This will allow users of the server OS from that date, no security updates, to receive more.

In addition to the stop with the roll-out of security updates, Microsoft will also not support more for Windows Server 2003. There also will be software as a result of the end of the ‘product lifecycle’ will no longer be updated. Servers after July 14, 2015 continue to run on Windows Server 2003 are therefore more vulnerable. US-Cert advises companies and organizations to to timely migrate to newer operating systems or to opt for software that runs within cloudplatformen.

According to figures from Microsoft were running in July of this year, worldwide, approximately 12 million physical servers running a version of Windows Server 2003.
