Microsoft: Azure failure was due to a problematic upgrade in opslagplatform

The large-scale malfunction Wednesday on Microsoft’s Azure platform would be due to an attempt to opslagplatform of the cloud-based update. Microsoft was forced to update to the Azure Storage service to turn back.

Customers in Europe, the United States and a part of Asia had Wednesday last of a large fault which is about 11 hours. Also a number of services from Microsoft itself were some time difficult to reach, including Office 365 and Xbox Live.

In the first instance was the cause of the fault is not entirely clear, but in the meantime, Microsoft has more clarity. The Azure platform would need to be preceded by a performance update to Azure Storage service, so let the responsible manager Jason Zander know. Since the Service Health Dashboard and Azure Management Portal both rely on the Storage service, shelf, were the problems for customers aggravated. Microsoft has let us know that the updates for Azure now in smaller steps wants to roll-out and recovery procedures will improve to any outages as short as possible to last.
