Intel presents custom Haswell processor for Amazon

Intel has a customized version of a Haswell processor made for Amazon. The store uses the processor for its EC2-web service. It goes to a pre-announcement: Amazon has the processor is not in use.

The processor for Amazon is based on an Intel Xeon E5-2666 v3 with a clock speed of 2.9 GHz and Turbo Boost to 3.5 GHz, writes the online shop. This processor is still not found in Intel’s processor database.
