Vodafone stops with ‘jongerenmerk’ Blyk

Vodafone stops prepaidmerk Blyk. The originally British provider, since 2012 owned by Vodafone, started in the Netherlands in 2010 and offered voice minutes and text messages in exchange for viewing ads. How many customers it has, is unknown.

Per 1 december for the clients of Blyk about Vodafone Themselves, it appears on a page of the provider Telecompaper discovered. The services of Blyk stops than in the whole. The ‘jongerenprovider’ let only customers between 16 and 29 years, and that could per month 1000 sms and minutes format in exchange for ads. After the acquisition by Vodafone in 2012, customers could only have themselves thousands of text messages and minutes of use.

Because it is a prepaid service, customers can stop and a sim card and credit from a different provider to purchase. It is unknown how many customers Blyk has. The British version of Blyk stopped years ago.
