Netflix supports Ubuntu out-of-the-box

Netflix supports Ubuntu in combination with Google Chrome now out-of-the-box. To this end, html5-video streams with drm. Until now had users perform some actions for Netflix streams to be able to look.

Netflix has support for Chrome in combination with Ubuntu silently switched on, report users on Reddit. It is not yet clear how it is with other Linux distributions. However, it is certain that Ubuntu with Firefox by default is not supported yet.

Long time users of Ubuntu and other Linux distros only to Netflix watch using Wine, which allows Windows software on Linux can be rotated. That was because of Netflix in the browser only Silverlight supported; although a Linux implementation, is not suitable for Netflix video to play.
