HP has its HP Multi Jet Fusion technology revealed that the company, the market for 3d printers wishing to enter. According to the company it systems with the technology ten times as fast, and ten times as accurate as printing as a current 3d-printers. The printers, however, only in 2016.

According to HP, there are two groups of 3d printers currently: models of parts with smooth surfaces and with a lot of detail and produce models that are strong components. Multi Jet Fusion will need these two properties combine and in addition, for higher speeds and lower cost care. A lot of details to make these claims to substantiate, the concern is not, however, and it is unclear which HP performance printer compares. HP focuses in any case on large companies, with the final systems, but also smaller companies and consumers have access to request objects to be able to obtain.

HP has for the development of Multi Jet Fusion uses its experience in Thermal Inkjet technology for printers. The system of HP first lays a layer of material on the work surface. Then chemical substances are printed with Thermal Inkjet printheads. According to HP, the nozzles can precisely 30 million drops of chemicals per inch to make.

It comes in addition to several resources: HP describes the agents that the material is fused together and means that detail make along the edges. The system allows the layers are then exposed to an energy source to as layer by layer the object to build. HP claims, however, also the properties of each voxel to be able to fit with other chemicals, which the group transforming agents calls and that additional detail should count.

HP works initially with thermoplastics, but they are expected to, over time, ceramics and metals can be used and the same amount of colors as traditional printers. The first system commercially deployed, however, only in 2016 are expected. Next year the first partners in the decision about working models.
