Apple has decided to PayPal not to add to its payment platform Apple Pay as the payment service earlier support for the fingerprint reader from the Samsung Galaxy S5 added. That claims at least one American website.

Apple and PayPal would initially have interviews lined about adding PayPal as a ‘voorkeursbetaalmogelijkheid’ in Apple Pay, but the decision of PayPal to support to build the fingerprint reader into the S5 would Apple going down the wrong way his shot. That writes the website Bank Innovation on the basis of anonymous sources; it is unclear how reliable that website is.

The place of PayPal is now occupied by pay-start-up Stripe. David Marcus, at the time director of PayPal, it would be out of fear for the reaction of Apple against the deal with Samsung, but director John Donahoe of its parent company, eBay would be the deal to it and have printed. The fight with Apple would be one of the reasons that Marcus left PayPal for Facebook.

Tuesday, it was announced that eBay PayPal next year, is repugnant; the provision of a payment service that eBay in 2002, took over for $ 1.5 billion, will be an independent publicly traded company.
