Rumor: HTC is GoPro-competitor release

Smartphonemaker HTC would be working on a GoPro competitor, a standalone camera that as an accessory for a smartphone. The camera would be waterproof and a cylindrical shape. HTC has the press been invited to an event next month.

That event on 8 October, is focused on cameras, so it seems to make out the hint of ‘double exposure’ HTC in the invitation. Bloomberg says that HTC is there, in addition to a camera for extreme sports is also a ‘selfiesmartphone’ will be present. What that would offer, is unknown; current HTC’s have front cameras with a maximum resolution of five megapixels. The front camera turns out for many buyers recently reason to have a phone or not.
