Rabobank will soon release an Android app for nfc payments

The Rabobank has indicated it will soon release a Android-betaalapp to make nfc payments with their mobile phones. Initially, only two Samsung phones are supported by the so-called Rabo Wallet.

The Rabo Wallet will be according to the Rabobank turning on two approved smartphones: the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. These devices are according to the Rabobank safe enough to nfc payments. The bank wants to be in the future, other phones add, but still unknown is what will follow.

With a suitable smartphone can use nfc contactless payments, up to 25 euros without a pin is needed. Therefor it will use nfc-terminals in some stores at the checkout counter are placed.
