Onkyo takes the audiovisual branch of Pioneer, which, among other business units for receivers, dvd and blu-ray players, wireless speakers and hi-fi systems. The dj-branch of Pioneer is not part of the acquisition.

In exchange for the acquisition of the av-branch, takes Pioneer, an interest of 14.95 percent in Onkyo. The Japanese Onkyo takes the business units for dj products, not about, the Pioneer. Pioneer is already busy to withdraw on the market for audio-visual equipment. Pioneer and Onkyo like the acquisition at the end of October completed, after which the integration of the av-branch in Onkyo in march 2015 to be finished.
