LG do curved 105″-uhdtv in advance

LG has launched the presale of its curved uhdtv with a 105″screen in its home country of South Korea. In front of the television with a 21:9 aspect ratio should South Koreans over 70,000 euros on the table. The tv comes at the end of this year also in other countries, but LG does not say which.

By the aspect ratio of 21:9, the resolution is higher than with some other uhdtv’s. The resolution comes out at 5120×2160 pixels, where a lot of uhdtv’s keep it at 3840×2160 pixels. It comes to a curved lcd with a diagonal 105″, about 2,66 m. The screen is slightly more than a metre high and almost 2.5 meters wide.

LG has the tv fitted with speakers that, according to the manufacturer up to 150W can deliver, while the tv runs on LG’s own WebOS platform for smart tv applications. According to the manufacturer, the large tv meant for home a ‘cinema experience’.

The tv is anything but cheap: the manufacturer asks that converted more than 70,000 euro for a copy. He is since this week in the advance in South Korea and at the end of this year to other countries. It says LG not which countries that will be.

Samsung presented at CES a tv with the same screen diagonal and resolution. That tv, the UN105S9W, cost converted at 90,000 euros and is on sale in the United States.
