Google builds according to a rumor under the name Quantum Paper, a new, consistent interface for Android, web and iOS. Also want to Google a framework online, allowing developers of apps may be build with the same interface elements.

Quantum Paper includes not only static interface elements such as icons and a bar with a solid color on the top, it is also about interaction design, the way users interact with an app or website. Google wants that is universal for all of its apps and services on Android, iOS and the web, claims Android Police.

The project must lead to all the apps and services of Google on a consistent way, allowing users to make them easier to find. Google tried that already with Apex and a series of guidelines for developers since Android 4.0, but according to Android Police is Quantum Paper a step further.

There are already traces of Quantum Paper in various new apps from Google, such as a leaked Google+app. The Android-fansite is claiming that Google slowly all his apps will update them to bring it into line with Quantum Paper, in the run-up to the next major release of Android.

Though Android Police does not seem to think that Google’s Quantum Paper will announce at the developer conference itself Google I/O about two weeks, it seems that chance does exist. Google I/O is in accordance with previous statements of the internet company largely in the character of design and interface.
