Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp wants the joint generation of renewable energy by means of solar panels or wind turbines more attractive through by way of trial, and the rules for local initiatives to improve conditions.

The rules will be adjusted in line with the electricity act. This law is focused on central generation of energy and is therefore mainly applicable for the large energy producers. The government, however, wants to by means of a test view or custom regulation can have a favourable effect on the decentralised generation of sustainable energy, particularly by wind turbines and solar panels that provide for local power generation.

Camp wants the reins to keep for ten small projects, with a limit of up to five hundred connections is called for, and ten major projects that up to ten thousand connections provide. So would the participating projects generated power will be used in smaller units are able to cope, for example, per quarter. The current energy use within day – and nightly rates.

Participants in the trial may now also their energy prices dynamically calculate. So, the current can be cheaper for example, if the sun is very much shining or if the harder blows. Also, should the operation of the grid with the smaller projects in our own hands.

Minister Kamp wants the test with the custom rules from 1 January 2015 to enter into effect, and hopes that this momentum will provide for the local generation of renewable energy. In 2019, will the trial be evaluated, which among other things will be to the reliability, affordability and security of electricity supply. If the results are positive considering the minister to the legislation, in respect of decentralised energy generated structural change.
