Microsoft wants Bing to improve outside US

Microsoft wants the quality of its search engine Bing outside of the United States to improve, as evidenced by a vacancy for a business development manager. It is going to be the ‘most ambitious geographical expansion” in the history of Bing.

At this time, Bing is outside of the United States only of limited use: the search results are less good and things like Image Match and the extensive autocomplete missing. That may change, it is apparent from the vacancy, which is noted by WinBeta.

Bing is extended to 75 countries, as is apparent from the vacancy, where it is a ‘quality product’ must be. Specifically talking about the emea region, which comprises Europe, the Middle East and Africa. To which countries exactly, is not clear, however. Bing need to be improved in Windows 8, Windows Phone and on the Xbox, writes Microsoft. When the improvements must be shown, is unknown.
