The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi last three months of 15 million smartphones sold. Although figures and estimates from other manufacturers on this period is still to follow, it seems that Xiaomi is the global number three behind Apple and Samsung.

That Xiaomi last months 15.1 million smartphones off, is because the production for the flagship model, the Mi3 was initiated and the Hongmi line of cheaper models, went, where Xiaomi with the Hongmi Note is a new model offered. Also, the manufacturer to Singapore.

It seems that Xiaomi, after Apple and Samsung, the third smartphonemaker in the world could turn out to be: Huawei was in the first months of 2014 the global number three with 13.7 million delivered devices. Huawei’s Ascend P7, however, came only at the end of the quarter, and probably has not much influence on the results. Apple sold in the first three months 43.7 million smartphones, Samsung does not give numbers pretty but analysts estimate that the South Koreans, there are 85 million copies to wear out. In all cases, the devices provided, not to actual consumers sold phones.

XIaomi sells its devices officially only in a few countries, such as China and Singapore, and that happens in batches: anyone can order a copy until the batch is sold out, something that is often within a few minutes happens. That is mainly because of intermediaries, which copies to buy and with profit hoping to sell.
