Sweex remains partially exist, as a distributor of accessories. The company Nedis takes Sweex. The Yarvik-line, which the company focused on tablets and smartphones, is not inherited. Sweex early in april filed for bankruptcy, after the Yarvik-line failure was found.

The company Nedis, that itself also sells accessories, has an unknown amount paid for the Sweex brand, the customers and the stock. Reports that Quote. Also have four members of staff of Sweex offered a contract; two of them have already for a job accepted. It is not yet clear whether other employees of the bankrupt company later offered a contract. Nedis is already well-known brands such as König, Bandridge and Camlink.

The new owner of the company takes on only the branch that accessories makes about the Yarvik-line, smartphones and tablets included, is not inherited. “We are going to focus on accessories,” says commercial director, Richard den Dool of Nedis opposite Tweakers. “We have all the rights to the name of Sweex purchased, but not Yarvik”, says Den Dool.

Under the Sweex will Nedis also release new products. “Then you can for example think of bluetooth-boxes”, says Den Dool. The bankruptcy of Sweex was largely on the Yarvik products due. The company struggled with a large number of returns – a whopping 15 percent – what an account of four million euros to date. “Tablets and smartphones are not our business,” said Den Dool. “Yarvik focused on the price range of 60 to 100 euros, and there you have just inwillen. If you have a cheap tablet to purchase, you expect that he will do the same as an iPad. That explains the high number of returns.”
