Standalone version of DayZ is in four months, two million sold

The standalone version of the zombiegame DayZ since it’s available on Steam two million sold. That has lead developer Dean Hall announced on Twitter. The alpha version of the game is currently available through Steam Early Access.

The standalone, which comes from the DayZ mod for ArmA II: Combined Operations, ended up from the first day, immediately place one of the best selling games on Steam. It was in the first month sold over a million copies. Currently the game on the third spot of best-selling games. Because DayZ two million copies sold, would developer Bohemia Interactive, there are about 50 million euro have been met.

DayZ is currently available via the early access option on Steam. Hall would already know that the game, which is now still in test phase and condition, still to at least the spring of 2015 in the development phase. During the test phase there will be much change to the game, making the final version in many respects will differ from the version that two million gamers now possess.

At the end of this year will be Hall of Bohemia to leave. He then returns to New Zealand. The success of the DayZ-mod earned him a contract with the Czech ontwikkelingsstudio Bohemia Interactive.
