Seagate announces external Samsung hdd with wi-fi

Seagate has forced, under the brand name Samsung from the so-called Wireless Mobile Media Streaming Device released. The external hard drive with the built-in wi-fi module can be used as a hotspot, but it can also stream media files to clients.

The Samsung Wireless Mobile Media Streaming Device offers as a external hard disk 1.5 TB of storage. The manufacturer will not or to a 3.5″- or 2.5″-disk drive, but given the “mobile” designation in the name, it seems to go to a 2.5″notebook drive. The external drive has a usb 3.0 connector. Through this port allows devices to be charged, such as a smartphone. The battery capacity would be the external hard disk, seven hour run.
